We are currently looking for motivated candidates to join us as an Electronic Hardware Designer.
The Role
As an Electronic Hardware Designer you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, certification and manufacturing process of fire alarm devices and panels and lifesaving products. You will work in an international environment and be part of a workplace where your day to day will involve working as a team on world-class products. You will prepare and control the technical documentation and conduct requirement analysis and feasibility studies. You will also design hardware and firmware solutions as well as issuing Technical Specification and Hw + Sw requirements. Project management as well as problem solving and leading a team and create synergies is also part of your duties.
Who are you?
We believe you have a MSc or BSc degree in Electronics Engineering, Applied Computer Science or related technical field with proven industry experience in designing digital and analogue electronic circuits. You bring experience with microcontrollers (Microchip MCUs) – low power applications. You have proven industry experience in the end-to-end development life cycle, from the initial concept to production (including architecture, design, development, debugging, documentation, and validation) and experience with communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I2C). Further you have the ability of risk assessment and problem solving during the product’s life cycle development as well as knowledge to use block diagrams, conceptual sketches, pseudo-code and other techniques of project designing. We would like you to have experience in version control (GIT) and issues tracking tools. Excellent team working skills is a must, both internally within the R&D department as well as across departments. Experience of functional safety or similar standards (EN54) as well as C/C++ coding experience in embedded firmware and good understanding of Agile methodologies concept is a merit. You are fluent in English, verbally and written.
