We are currently looking for motivated candidates to join us as an Embedded Software Engineer.

The Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, certification and manufacturing process of fire alarm devices and panels and lifesaving products. You will work in an international environment and be part of a workplace where your day to day will involve working as a team on world-class products. You will be designing firmware solutions based on project requirements using C and C++ language. You will also work with schematic design and managing with PCB layout and contribute to firmware architecture and development, engineering tests and product validation as well as preparing the technical documentation related to the firmware.

Who are you?
We believe that you have a MSc or BSc degree in Electronics Engineering, Applied Computer Science or related technical field with proven industry experience in the end-to-end development life cycle, from the initial concept to production (including architecture, design, development, debugging, documentation, and validation). You have proven C/C++ coding experience in embedded firmware and a deep understanding of embedded architecture concepts (CPU core, internal and external memories, CPU peripherals). You also bring experience with microcontrollers (Microchip MCUs) and in version control (GIT) and issues tracking tools. You can understand schematics on analogue, digital and power electronics. You bring experience with communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, UART, SPI, I2C) and the ability to navigate, understand & adapt large existing codebases. You have experience from risk assessment and problem solving during the product’s life cycle development as well as the ability to use block diagrams, conceptual sketches, pseudo-code and other techniques of project designing. You have excellent team working skills is a must, both internally within the R&D department as well as across departments. Experience from functional safety or similar standards (EN54) as well as using laboratory instruments (DMM, Oscilloscope etc.) and familiarity of Web concepts (Wi-Fi, Cloud Services, Cyber Security) with good understanding of Agile methodologies concept and the ability to prepare small testing tools using C# or Python is considered a merit. You are fluent in English, verbally and written.
