The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Electronic Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Gothenburg. In this role, you will be central in developing, testing, and maintaining the electronic hardware modules that power our Fire and Gas detection systems.

In this role, you’ll engage in every part of the development cycle – from requirement reviews and feasibility studies, to design, documentation, certification, and manufacturing support. This means you won’t just focus on electronic design but take part in shaping the entire product journey. Collaboration is essential: you’ll work side by side with colleagues in hardware, software, testing, certification, and production to ensure our solutions meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintenance of analog and digital hardware modules
• Create system specifications and architectural documentation
• Support product certification and type approvals
• Test and verify new hardware designs
• Drive improvements in manufacturability and reliability (DFM, EMC, Ex design)
• Document and maintain designs in our PLM/PDM system (e.g. ARAS)
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle

Your Profile

You’re structured, curious, and thrive in a collaborative environment where your ideas make an impact.

We believe you bring:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience in electronic hardware design (analog and/or digital)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset

It’s an advantage if you have experience with:

• Ex design (ATEX/IECEx)
• Design for Manufacturing and EMC
• PCB CAD tools (e.g. Altium)
• PLM/PDM systems such as ARAS
• Hardware/system architecture
