About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Project Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands.

In this role, you will take ownership of projects from handover by the Sales Department through to commissioning and final delivery to the customer. You will act as a key link between sales and aftersales, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from sales handover to commissioning and customer delivery

• Develop project timelines, including milestones, key dates, and risk assessments

• Procure all required materials (in-house and external) in line with project timelines and budgets

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and approved software systems

• Create 2D electrical and technical drawings, as well as full documentation packages

• Design fire and gas detection systems according to specifications

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

• Support training for colleagues and customers when required

• Contribute to continuous improvement and additional project-related tasks

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), or at least 5 years of relevant experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and diagnostic tools

• Familiar with international and local maritime/shipping regulations and material standards

• Experience working in a fast-paced technical environment

• Well-organized, proactive, and a strong team player

• Able to make accurate decisions under pressure, always with a customer-focused mindset

• Committed to safety, with a proactive approach to risk prevention and workplace standards

• Valid driver’s license and work authorization for the Netherlands

Meritorious Skills & Experience

Experience or knowledge in the following areas is considered a strong advantage:

• Fire & gas detection systems

• Programming (Function Block Diagram, Structured Text)

• Electrical and instrumentation panel design

• AutoCAD

• Microsoft Office & SharePoint

• ERP and CRM systems

• Marine and offshore classification societies and regulations

• Operational Technology (OT) security
