About the Role
As Finance Manager for Consilium Safety Netherlands, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and delivering financial insights that support business performance and strategic decision-making.
Working closely with local management and the Group Finance function, you will strengthen financial processes, drive operational efficiency, and contribute to the company’s continued growth. You will lead a finance team consisting of three FTEs: a Financial Controller, an Accountant/Credit Controller, and a Finance Administrator based in the Shared Service Center.
The role covers financial responsibility for the Dutch operation as well as activities in Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all financial operations for Consilium Netherlands, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of statutory accounts, tax filings, and compliance with local regulations and Group requirements.
Manage period-end closing activities in UNIT4 in line with global deadlines and quality standards.
Deliver reliable financial reporting and business insights by analyzing financial data and KPIs across Projects, Production, Trade, and Service operations.
Monitor business performance against budget through regular reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses.
Support local management and Group Finance with strategic and operational decision-making.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting, including optimization of ERP (D365) and BI tools (Power BI).
Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Group, regulatory, and private equity requirements.
Contribute actively to Group-wide finance initiatives and digital transformation projects.
Support colleagues across the business on financial matters and participate in broader operational finance activities.
Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive and business-oriented finance professional who thrives in an international and fast-paced environment.
You bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Broad finance experience across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Payroll, Taxes, Projects, Production, and Inventory Management.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a strong advantage.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into business actions.
A results-driven mindset and the ability to prioritize effectively within tight deadlines.
Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience in leading and developing teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
