Corporate Development Intern (part-time)
Turn market and financial analysis into strategic decisions as a part-time intern, working with senior leaders on growth, M&A and safety technology that protects people worldwide.
At Consilium Safety Group, we don’t just build technology. We create solutions that protect people, assets, and the planet. As a global leader in fire and gas safety, we serve critical industries such as marine, energy, rail, and construction.
With 100+ years of expertise and 55 offices worldwide, we combine deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge innovation to shape the future of SafetyTech. Backed by strong investors, we are now entering an exciting transformation and growth journey, and we’re looking for a driven student to join us for the ride.
About the Role
We’re seeking a part-time intern to join our Corporate Development team at our Gothenburg HQ. This unique internship blends strategic project work with financial and business analysis, offering exposure to the management of a global private equity–owned company.
You’ll gain first-hand experience in strategy, M&A, and performance management, while collaborating directly with senior executives and the Board of Directors. This is not a back-office role – you will own real projects end-to-end and produce output that goes directly to the Corporate Management Team (CMT) and the Board.
This position is ideal for a student who can work around 50% alongside their studies, giving us time to invest in your development and prepare you for a long-term role at Consilium.
The intended internship period is winter 2026/27 through summer 2027, although an earlier start date may be possible. Depending on fit, performance, and organizational needs, the internship may also be extended.
Our goal is for this internship to evolve into a permanent position after graduation, as part of your continued growth within the company.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the Corporate Development team with a broad mix of analytical, strategic, and operational projects:
Prepare analyses, presentations, and decision material for the CMT and the Board of Directors
Support strategic initiatives and M&A projects, including market and target analysis, and due diligence
Conduct research, data collection, and business case analysis to support decision-making
Build and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight performance and progress (e.g. financial KPIs, strategic initiative tracking, M&A pipeline)
Coordinate CMT meetings, manage the corporate calendar, and track progress on key initiatives
Who You Are
Final-year Bachelor’s or first-year Master’s student in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field from a top university
Previous experience in consulting, an in-house strategy function, or finance is a plus
Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity
Advanced skills in Excel and strong command of PowerPoint; you enjoy working with data, building models, and creating structure from complexity
A hands-on self-starter who takes ownership and follows through, and who is curious, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous context
Comfortable leveraging relevant AI tools to boost efficiency and output quality – you see AI as a practical accelerator, not a novelty
Team-oriented, humble, willing to learn, and comfortable working with senior stakeholders across cultures and functions
Genuine interest in corporate strategy, M&A, and private equity–driven growth
Why Join Us?
Work directly with the CMT and the Board of Directors, gaining high visibility across the organization
Build both strategic and analytical skillsets, a blend that opens many future paths
Join a company at a pivotal point of transformation, backed by strong ownership and bold ambitions
Be part of a small, hands-on team that values curiosity, collaboration, and tangible results
