Your Role

As part of our digital transformation strategy, we are accelerating the adoption of AI and modern data capabilities across the organization. Trusted, high-quality data is the foundation for intelligent business processes, enterprise applications, and AI-driven decision-making.

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Master Data Management Engineer to join our Shared Service Center in Kochi, India. In this role, you will play a key part in establishing and evolving our enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) capability. You will design and implement robust master data solutions, governance frameworks, and data quality processes that ensure trusted, consistent, and high-quality data across our global organization. By building a strong foundation for data governance, you will enable better decision-making, support AI initiatives, and drive business-wide digital transformation.

Working closely with business stakeholders, data owners, solution architects, and engineering teams, you will define enterprise data standards, improve governance maturity, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

What You'll Do

As a Master Data Management Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve the organization's Master Data Management strategy, operating model, and governance framework.

• Establish and maintain centralized master data solutions across key business domains.

• Define and maintain enterprise data standards, business rules, naming conventions, taxonomies, and data models.

• Design and implement processes for master data creation, validation, approval, synchronization, and lifecycle management.

• Develop and maintain data quality frameworks, monitoring capabilities, and remediation processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity.

• Establish metadata management and data lineage capabilities to improve transparency and traceability across enterprise data assets.

• Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify opportunities for data standardization, process optimization, and automation.

• Partner with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, ERP teams, and business stakeholders to support digital transformation initiatives.

• Promote best practices in data governance, stewardship, and master data management across the organization.

• Evaluate and recommend MDM technologies, governance tools, and industry best practices to continuously enhance our enterprise data capabilities.

• Provide guidance, documentation, and training to business users and data stewards on master data standards and governance processes.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about enterprise data management and enjoys combining technical expertise with strong stakeholder collaboration.

You have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Data Management.

• Proven experience designing and implementing Master Data Management solutions and governance frameworks within complex enterprise environments.

• Strong understanding of master data domains such as Customer, Supplier, Product, Material, Finance, and Organizational data.

• Experience with MDM and data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Profisee, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, or similar technologies.

• Knowledge of data governance principles, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality management.

• Experience working with relational databases, SQL, data integration technologies, and enterprise data architectures.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Power Platform, or modern cloud-based data platforms is considered an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

• Experience working in Agile environments is an advantage.
